I will light it on fire and drive it thru the stealers front windows before I dismantled the entire interior for a squealing fan...BMW is a lousy company that doesn't stand behind their crap.

From the teardown pics in this thread and others, it is almost like they designed/built the car around the HVAC blower motor.

I've done a few blower motors over the decades; none required more than 20 mins of crawling around under the dash/under the hood.

The most recent situ, I had the local Chebby dealer in Billings, MT do it to my '02 C5 Vert, as I was on a road trip and didn't feel like doing it myself: it was <$100 and took 15 mins for the tech.

One couldn't make up the X blower motor R&R scenario. It would be labeled as extreme hyperbole, or fiction.

I would pay to see a good vid of that through the dlr window action.

Last blower motor I did was my 68 gran torino big block back in high school...pop the hood..4 screws..unplug..replace..20 mins....The good ole days.

You think the engineers chuckle when they design these beemers?
