Maintainence mode (pics)

So the other day expansion tank finally let up... Time to take care of some issues that i've been letting go for some time as well while its down.

Upon cold start was getting a squeeking noise as well, idler pulley was replaced a while back when it disintegrated time for belt tensioner.

Washer tank was leaking, rear wiper jet line plugged up as well, since the expansion tank went changing out all the coolant as well.

Rear parking brake was also not working and needed adjustment, right headlight had a little bit of haze starting up at the top, polishing out both lights.

Time for oil change as well as air filter, checked ccv caps for any crud while i have it all apart.

Rear spoiler off to get access to washer line

Air filter = dirty

Good time to get steam cleaner out and clean out all the cracks around hood/trunk/doors.

Creates a much more pleasant working environment when its 20 degrees outside

Air intake/rad fan out and belts off ready to go when my parts come tomorrow

Taking care of the lights, oil, and air filter tonight, rest of parts come in Thursday and need to pickup some coolant yet.

Enjoy

You had me at ^^ this part. A true eye for detail to clean out trunk/door/hood jambs in winter.

Btw that reminds me I need to adjust my rear e-brake, takes me 10 clicks to hold the friggin X5 still in neutral on a slight hill (mine is slightly more important with the 5MT)

Lookin clean as always Pat, OEM+ especially with those wheel jawns

Did you wetsand or just machine polish the lights? I'd put Opti Lens on them if you just finished buffing them out to perfection
