Replaced all tappets and buckets. In doing so, pulled the head to change the cylinder head gasket while we were that far into the engine. Rebuilt the VANOS as well...

Truck still has the same misfire issue.. same codes as prior... pulling hair out!

Getting very, very close to scrapping the truck and finding something else to drive.

I, also have not made any headway.
I have noted something different. In December I drove the car down to Eugene OR. about 7 hours away. Since that time I have noted less misfires. Im wondering if there is a buildup of carbon one the piston rings, that long hard drive may of loosen some of the ring sticking. Something for sure has changed. Still having misfires, but less.
