glad I could help, I have done lots of reading on here since I got my x5 about a year and a 1/2 ago. so I guess somehow the actuator is hooked up to the window switches.

Yes, must be. The thought of re-connecting it crossed my mind, but I thought, "Nah, what connection could the window switch possibly have with the door latch?" Oh, well, now I know. Hope this helps somebody else.

hey don`t feel bad when I replaced my lock actuator for the drivers side front door , I put it all back together and tried the 1 touch window switch for drivers door and I didn`t have 1 touch anymore but all my other doors did ,so I pulled it all apart checking connections and all is good ,so its like wtf , guess what I had drivers door open when I tried the 1 touch and I didn`t realize the doors have to be closed for 1 touch .
