Unhappy Trans Fail Safe Mode

Hi all, I have a 2005 X5 3.0i with about 196,000 miles on it...Driving into work today in snowy and slippery conditions, going about 40mph on the highway changing lanes, I noticed the car began to feel a bit funny. Sure enough a few second later the failsafe warning came on and I limped off the highway at the next exit (about 1/4 mile away).

I waited there with the car off for about 5 minutes, turned it on and it seemed to be idling fine. It threw the following 3 codes:

P0175 - Too rich bank 2
P0172 - Too rich bank 1
P0732 - Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio

I drove another 4-5 miles to work with the SES light on, but no sign of the failsafe now - going about 45mph max. I cleared the codes once I parked at work and now I am worried about my experience....

I had a fuel pump die on me leaving me stranded about 2 weeks ago, but no SES light came on - perhaps the P0175 and P0172 codes were still in the system from that, just never triggered the SES light to come on?

I'm particularly worried about the P0732 code and potential internal transmission issues - I read a few other threads where people with this code ended up replacing the transmission. Any ideas/thoughts/things to try?

I have yet to characterize when/if the failsafe will come on again (upshifting/downshifting, etc) as this was the first and only time I have seen it.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated - thank you in advance!

Just a quick update in case it may help anyone to think what the issue may have been...

Since seeing the codes and going into failsafe mode (yesterday) I have not seen any other codes or issues. I have driven probably 60-70 miles at all speeds from 0-70mph on both dry and slippery roads, with the transmission certainly coming up to full operating temperature.....absolutely no issues whatsoever

I will just have to keep my fingers crossed...
