Trans gurus needed...
I had posted a thread before about the internal trans temp sensor in my 01 X5 with the 4.4.
Here: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...y-advance.html I'm just now getting to the repair. It's torn down, and I have the old harness out and thought to check it before putting it back together. I had gotten a link with the chart for resistance measurements on it, and it's looking like that may or not be the problem since the resistance is correct at differing temps.. It's correct at room temp, and then I filled a glass with hot tap water, which I know the temp is set close to 115*f, and it registered correctly. So, could it still be possible the temperature is still probable for erratic shifting? Could it be input/output sensor related? Or, should I just put it back together and see what it does?
