Issue with ECS Spacers. Anyone else? FIXED
FIXED. See last post.

Hi Guys,

I installed a set of ECS 15mm spacers up front and it caused a bad shimmy. The bolts ECS sent me had a 17mm head instead of the 19mm head. I am thinking that is the problem. Anyone else tried ECS spacers and run into a similar issue?

Are they hub centric? I've found the only ones without issues are the bolt on DRA spacers

Is there a play on the hub (from hub to spacer and spacer to wheel)? Also, E53 uses conical seat "wobble" bolts. See picture below.

There is the slightest play from the spacer to the wheel. It's not the most snug fit.

The bolts ECS provided are conical but they are NOT wobble bolts.

I've contacted ECS and explained to them the issue. Let's see what they say.

Side note, I hate our stock wheel bolts. Such an odd size and style. Not easy for replacements.

And not really sure why BMW used "wobble" bolt in first place...?

Because "wobble" bolts are the correct fasteners for hub-centric wheels.

Standard bolt should be used with lug-centric wheels.

Yes, the ECS spacers are hubcentric.

I am running the DRA 30mm on the rear and love them. I wish they made them in a 12mm or 15mm.
