Full service history?

I think that's the first year for that series, bad reviews?

Either way, those are $$$ to maintain

I'd be tempted too honestly! Those look a bit more modern with a lot more doodads.

If you're a good wrench with full diagnostics, maybe...

In my opinion it is one of the most hideous cars BMW has ever made. Maybe if it were an E38.

Well to each their own, but I like the Bangle 02-03 e65/e66 7.

To the OP, your x5 is more reliable than the e65 or e66. I think it would be a huge risk for you to trade for that car. Bimmerforums has a dedicated e65 section and you can ask the current and previous owners about this. "you gotta pay to play" is a commonly used expression there.

I would run....FAST from any 745i. Way too many potential issues. MAYBE a mint 06-08, but not an early one.

I have to second that notion. Saw TONS of those coming into the shop I worked at... in fact I think we always had at least one there most of the time. Everything from the radios, soft close doors, ebrakes locking, engine stuff (a lot of sec air blockages), etc.

The X is no pillar of reliability... but the 7 makes it look like a Toyota imo.

E38 7 series is hotness though... but had many fewer toys available. Still had a fridge option though... lol.
