Heat kills ATs. fluid degrades, seals shrink, clutch material wears...this particulate leads to sludge- THIS fouls actuators, etc.

Change ATF regularly and you simply extend the life. That simple IMO

I saw.the original lifetime.stuff.after.105k. It.should.have.been changed.at.50k. Changing the easy 4liters is likely.safer with deposits.issue. I will look Mercon :-P next.time trans people.say it.is.the same. If.I. every.way it.looks.the.same.I.can believe.it.is. I.Will.change.4l every 25k or 2 years coming up.
