Hyundai

Just a little useless Knowledge....

Was talking with a sales rep who has ZF as client of his today and he was telling me about the transmissions in our X5's being used in Hyundai's.

I'm not sure if it was my 6spd or the newer 8spd....

I had no idea....

To balance out your unfounded concern about Hyundai sharing the same transmission perhaps helps to know that Maserati and Bentley also do

But so do Kia and Ford/Lincoln so not sure whether that means it's good or bad...

I read a couple years ago that Hyundai was developing their own transmission. I guess that didn't turn out so good.

In the end, everything will be (already is?) made in China. Doom and gloom.

This is why the chinese cars are on the rise now-all parts for them are original

Yeah I probably am gonna just stick with the cars that I have for quite a few years....and will probably not be buying any new BMW's past model year 2010. I hate the turbo engines and the cheap feel of the newer BM's makes my skin crawl. The whole Chinese made thing is barely avoidable...the husband and I do our best to not buy anything made in China and that goes for when I'm throwing parts at our cars.
