20" Wheels and trim

I'm searching for the perfect X5. Got two auction dealers monitoring regional activity. One constant is that few good choices have the 20"s and fender flares. I know what the wheels cost, but if I had to add the trim package what kind of cash am I looking at?

GetBMWParts.com for flares n rivets and Amazon for rivet gun and you'll get a fair estimate.

Are you saying that there are a lot of fender flared aka M-sport packages on the auctions? I thought they were pretty hard to find as people didn't really like the extra expense. All M packaged X5s come with 20's...

I am saying that there are few to none available with the flares and y spokes. Especially rare is one that's not a 4.8. Is M-sport actually the correct lingo for this package on the X5? IE, is that on the window sticker?

Correct. I've checked realoem but it's not immediately clear what part needs to be added. I see various fender trim parts ranging from $110 to $165ish. I'm also not sure if it's as simple as swapping the four fender flares or if it's more involved.

All of this said, assuming it's roughly $200 per corner for trim plus a minimum of $1500 for good wheels and tires, it's probably worth just holding out for the right one that already has those options.

I would just get an X5 that comes with the M-Sport pack and be done with it. It comes with a lot of extra features including the M-suspension...

M Sport package.

The optional M Sport package accentuates the dynamic character of the BMW X5. Bumper and running boards in body color as well as entry sills with the M logo are only the first in a long line of powerful and sporting impressions.

Not even the wind can resist it: A front apron with larger air inlets, side sills with an additional light strip and a rear apron with diffusor optimize the pressure on the rear axle at high vehicle speeds. Even more sportiness is provided by the Adaptive M suspension (containing Dynamic Damping Control and air suspension) and the 19” M Double-spoke style 467 M light-alloy wheels with mixed tires. Alternatively, the M Sport package can also contain 20” M Double-spoke style 469 light-alloy wheels.

The new-generation M multifunction leather steering wheel not only sits perfectly in the driver’s hand, but also offers comfortable gear changes thanks to the shift paddles. Sport seats in Alcantara/leather with the M logo offer optimum stability even for the sportiest driving styles. The interior is rounded off by top-quality interior trim strips in Aluminium Hexagon, the M footrest, M entry sills and the BMW Individual headliner in Anthracite.

Cost: $6,500

One thing I don't see said here:

If you are looking at the OEM 20" wheels, like the ones in Sport Package equipped cars you should know that the front wheels are 10" wide and the rears are 11".
Their Offsets are: Front ET: 37, Rear ET:40
Tire Size that came on these wheels is:
Front: 275/40 - 20R
Rear: 315/35 - 20R

Here are few links:

Thanks fellas. Ended up finding one this week with the sport pack and much more with optional 21s. Now my challenge is that there are about three tires that fit the rear.
