engine icon and missing? once?
Started it after sitting for 48 hours and noticed it seemed to be missing and noticed yellow engine icon was on. It was on for maybe two minutes .. I tried raising the rpm a little but miss and icon remained. Finally restarted it and the miss and icon and was gone when I restarted. I then Restarted two more times then and no miss and no icon. Nothing remained on check control or info status. All the check status says ok with no service I certainly required. I could not find and write up online or in my owners manual as to what causes the engine icon to be lit? Fyi. I find it crazy there isn't a list of the icons and what they mean. Had the car for about 4000 miles and a month. Drove it 2000 from California with no problems and used it to tow a.ski boat 200 miles last weekend without issue. Restarted after sitting overnight just now ... it does miss a little you can barely see rpm needle wave as it drops down as warms to 700 rpm. It.Will.complete smooth out once fully.warm. And ideas? |

That is a "CEL" or Check Engine Light.
You have a code stored. Read it with a BMW reader and you will get the code. Erase it. Report back. Why guess when there is THE thing you need (the code) sitting right there? Could be 50 things. With the code we will be down to 10 things.
