Snolls is on a distinguished road
Back Again. This time: iDrive, CEL (P0050, P0155) and electrical?

(x-posted at Bimmerfest.)

Been a while... Hope you're all well.

2007 x5, 3.0, 105K miles

Woes of the past few months:

1. Intermittently ongoing since last autumn: iDrive knob doesn't do anything when pressed. Easy to diagnose hardware vs. software problem? DIY or shop?

2. Since Jan./Feb. of this year: CEL is on. Generic reader codes are P0050 and P0155. O2 sensors? (TA at dealer said he wasn't so sure, but didn't elaborate.) DIY or shop?

3. Intermittently, past 2-3 days: Emergency brake acting funny? Dash lights go on. System says ABS, DSC, EMB, etc. malfunction. (No codes on the generic reader.)

Am wondering though... if (all of) these are really mechanical or if it's electrical/computer? Car is hitting the 7-8 year mark when most electrical goes batty. Suggestions?

(4. I've been reading there's an iDrive reboot/reset by holding 2 elect buttons and the volume on/off. But mine doesn't have 2 eject buttons. Any iDrive reset procedure for mine? Searching turns up a lot of nothing for the E70.)

Thanks in advance, folks.
