I actually think it is on purpose:
if you backed out and start accelerating you can still see if a car,elk or bull approaches you from behind quickly... Because my wife's Audi does the same. Must be a German thing

Yeah the camera setup on the pre LCI is pretty horrible, has anyone upgraded their camera? I'd just like to have better clarity...I nailed my bumper one night with my trailer when I was in a hurry....backing up backing up...POP! DAMN! Oh, now I see the slight delay...never again....now I'm always trying to hook up my trailer at a snail's pace!
