E70 2007 and Coolant Add question

I have a E70 2007 X5 4.8i. Last week I replace my Coolant Sensor and while doing that lost 1/4G of Antifreeze. I look at the coolant expansion tank and see coolant below Min. So I add 1/4G of BMW 50/50 coolant and bring to Max marker. Is their a special procedure to add coolant like making sure air is pushed out or just pouring it will do it. I believe I don't have Electric water pump but not sure of that. I have read that with electric water pump their is a certain sequence need to be followed to pump out any air bubbles..

This is pretty easy to do:

but given your situation and the fact that the unit is always self bleeding you should be just fine. Just keep an eye on the level (hopefully youve done by now given your post date) to make sure after the bubbles get out, your level is good.

4.8 doesnt have electric water pump as the main pump. But maybe you are talking about the auxilliary pump for the heater?
