how to replace e70 passenger door pull

The inner support part of my front passenger inner door pull is sticky and peeling away. Seems this is a common problem with the rubber material they used.
I have the part. I saw somewhere a diy video of prying the outer pull part off. But I can't find it now. Also I thought one could unscrew the inner pull part from the door panel but from reading online it seems it may be more difficult and involve pulling the door panel , cutting welded on studs, and working some special reattached scheme? The replacement pull-handle Part I have clearly has bolt on type holes in it.
Anyway anybody have a diy or know for sure if door must be removed on e70?

You literally just pull the leather covered plastic part straight away from the door, I find that prying off from the bottom corner the easiest...once you can get a few fingers in there as leverage just pull away and it will snap off. You won't break it but it will feel like it just pull slowly. Then you will have access to the torx screws holding the handle.
