The sensors are not "registered" in BMWs (at least E models). I have a full size spare tire that I just install in any location and if it is not deflated I dont get error. When you rotate the tires you may want to go to the "Reset" routine so the TPMS will relearn the positions of the sensors.

After I rotated the tires I had a TPMS warning. I did not bother to research what to do, but based on my E46 and E39, I just pushed and held the TPMS button and it cleared the error after some driving.
I need to see if how the sensors are recognized and if the wheel location matches or if they are off from where I had the wheels previously. |
