Well it could have been worse. While mounting a large rear sportbike tire, my tire iron slipped when the tire popped on and took a gouge out of the middle my forehead. I had to go to the ER.
To boot, I was using those nylon rim protectors to pry my bars on, and when the iron slipped the protector went INSIDE the (now mounted) tire. So when I got home from the ER, I got to UNmount the new tire, remove the protector, and REmount the same tire again.
For some reason my wife has never let me live this one down.
