Coding
My main reason was that I wanted the fold/unfold of wing mirror on open and lock. I also did the windows up/down with the keyfob and a few bits and pieces with the lights. It was super easy. I need to go back and turn my side marker lights off now. One thing I could not do was remove the seatbelt chime. The app kept saying that the obd dongle couldn't read that. Has anyone experienced this? I'm wondering if I need to get the Carly specific dongle. I was disappointed that I couldn't use this on my z4 Mcoupe. Apparently I should be able to in a few months when they get the software finished for the iPad/iPhone. If your thinking about doing this, do it, it really is super easy. |

I disabled the seat belt chime using the Carly specific OBD II scanner.

CAN bus was implemented and not all cheaper interfaces play nice with CAN bus.
I disabled my passenger side seat chime, kind of wish there was an adjustment to limited it to 5 gongs or some other user specified choice rather than to totally disabled it.
