Right Daytime Running Light
My right daytime running light message came on last week. The original H8 bulb stop working. With this, I decided to install the Weisslicht version 4. After installation and still doesn't work. I have checked all the lighting fuse and nothing is burnt out. The fuse that I check is 2, 19, 23, 96, 110 and 124. Any suggestion is much appreciated. |

The FRM(Footwell module, it is responsible for the exterior lights) will switch off a given circuit permanently if a short circuit is present for more than 50 ignition cycles(30 for the xenon low beam circuit). BMW will replace the module and program/code it, but there are a few ways to fix the problem without replacing the module.

Thanks for your respond. How do I fix this problem without taking to the dealer?
Thanks so much. |

It can be done either with Tool32 or direct on-board reprogramming of the processor. Your best option is to find someone who has a good knowledge of Tool32, it is a 2 minute job. You may want to learn this, but it will take some time.

Install the good H8 bulb from the other headlight to make sure there's power. I doubt the FRM module would go limb in such short period.
