Front Interior Panneling Swap / Paint

Hey All -

New here (First Post)!! spent several years on other forums for my 3 series but finally made the Jump to the X5 (E70).

I have done several mods already but I am stumped on this one and i can't seem to find any info on this one anywhere (and quite frankly am surprised it is not more popular).

I have the Nevada Cinnamon (LUEZ) interior in a sapphire black exterior. I love the color however i feel like there is still too much interior black paneling to offset the brown leather. I would like to replace / paint some of the black paneling beneath the steering wheel and glovebox to match. Has anyone attempted this / had it done?

I have attached photos of how it currently looks (stock) and what i would like it to look like.

Any/all feedback is greatly appreciated.

I personally dont like the pic you posted and will never paint a dash panel no matter what car. Anytime you paint interior panels i feel like it makes the vehicle look cheap.
I wish i had your interior, mine is all beige :/

i assume you mean Dye the dash the color of your seats....not paint?
your better off just having leather added on top most likely.
the whole dash will have to come out.
removed the dash on an E90 but never the e70.
wasnt too bad, but wouldnt ever want to do it again

Thanks for the quick replies guys... Maybe paint was the wrong term... Perhaps dye or possibly even wrap / upholster as was suggested.

That said - I have personally seen some very nice work done to interior panels with vinyl spray paints. Generally these were done on restorations of old cars where the panels faded or a replacement for a damaged panel could not be found in the correct color. (See video for reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD1QqO5ZfAM )

I wouldn't even know where to begin seeking an upholsterer to do this work...
