USB/AUX/Bluetooth Not working!

I just picked up an '12 BMW X5 CIC iDrive system.
My USB, AUX, Bluetooth all do not function. In the iDrive system I can scroll to the selection, however, all 3 choices are “greyed out”.

Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the CIC? Bluetooth, Aux and USB are all handled by the combox in the left side of the trunk behind the panel, check the connections after resetting the CIC. (Its in the manual on how to do it )

Apologies for the late post... I have reset the iDrive (holding down mute button) to no avail. This picture might give u guys a sense of what i'm dealing with.

So far bluetooth/usb greyed out.
Aux-in can select it but audio can't be adjusted. (Stuck on 0).

Any ideas?

Has it ever worked, or did it just stop working? I'd say this is going to necessitate a trip to the dealer, unless you have diagnostic software like Rheingold and can scan for errors in modules yourself.

Precisely... I mean if you bought it not working, for all we know someone swiped components from the car!

One reason a PPI is always recommended.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm still having issues with the car, have been a little research the previous owner actually swapped the combox from another '12 x5.

So long story short - all functions work except for the bluetooth/aux/usb as stated in op. In digging through with ncs I've found build date correct and $6fl. Am I missing anything else to check?

Did he code the combox? You can't just swap it

Thanks blue dragon for the quick response. I suppose so if the radio is in fact working. However, my previous post(s) I noted that corresponding to my vin- the combox originally is [84109257163] combox for telematics; as per realoem. The combox now is [84109251751] combox telematics for GPS. Now im too sure if there would be addition coding needed on my end.
