Install TPM sensors by myself

How easy or difficult would be to install TMP sensors? Actually, I want to switch them from my summer wheels-tires to my winter setup.
Are they heavy enough to throw the balance off? My winter setup is balanced without TMP sensors.
I'm doing this not to save $50. It would save me the hassle of bringing all eight tires to a shop to make the switch.

You don't really need to dismount the tires but you do need to break the bead off the face of the wheel.

And es they wil need to be balanced.

But to break the bead of the tire you need equipment for dismounting/mounting tires
OP, just buy 4 universal sensors "MX-sensor" with programmer and install them. That would be less than $150. I have replaced 2 OEM sensors on my car with MX-sensors and they work great.

What tools are you talking about? I was thinking of removing the air from the tire, press the wall on the tire while removing the sensor then do the same thing and mount it on the winter tire. My only concern at this point is the glue, or whatever the shop puts on the inside edge rim before they inflate it.
I'll try tomorrow on one of the tires to see if I can remove the sensor without any special tools.

These are the sensors I'm considering in case I can't switch mine from one wheel to the other.

Good luck braking the bead of your tire in home conditions. Be very careful though.
These are the sensor i am talking about. You can buy programmer for ~$40-50 or send them to me and i will program them for you.

Awesome, thanks for the offer. I will bother you if I decide to go that route.

Yri--there is no glue, like typically seen with RC cars. Shops use water and soap as a lubricant for the tire bead, this makes it easier to slip the tire bead on to the rim.

I doubt this could be done at home easily and I'm a DIY dude. Plus the assembly will need to be rebalanced.
