Front diff notice after fluid change

Hello,I just changed my front diff oil with redline 75w90 fluid on my e70 xdrive 4.8. Went for a drive and from the front right hand side I could hear like a ticking noise or gear noise that gets louder as the car goes faster.
Did I used the wrong fluid? What did I do wrong?
Thanks

Oh yeah I forgot to mention the car has 137k and this is the first time it been changed. Also I changed the transfer case fluid with the special oil it uses.

I use Motul 75w90 synthetic in my diffs, no problem. Something touching and making the noise?

I thought I was good with redline 75w90 fluid but I guess not. I just ordered oem fluid, hopefully that helps.

Hard to believe the lubricant is the problem unless it's underfilled perhaps.
Are you sure the noise was not present before the change?
Ticking sounds more like a CV joint or wheel bearing perhaps.
Is noise worse when you drive in tight circles?

I know is hard to belive, I've done this to all my cars and never had a problem. The noise wasn't there before the oil change. The sound comes more from the right hand side of the car, it gets louder and faster with speed.

You know, few months ago I replaced front diff fluid with Red Line and also noticed increase in noise - not by much, but still. I'm awaiting warmer weather to change it again to test the "red line sux!" theory...

Hmmm, there are two versions of the RL 75w90, one with frictions modifiers for LSDs, and the other without.

Anyone have a source or part number for OEM fluid?
