Well 5he sound still there! I read you have to code the transfer case for the new fluid but in all the diy don't mention that. Can anyone who done this chime in.

That's what my buddy who's a tech at BMW told me. The TC needs a reset, but he said it was just a "reset counter" for my 2012.

Found the factory diff fluid, $50 for 3 half liter containers. Do you recall how much fluid went into each diff?

Might as well try that. The front fluid took one liter, I didn't do the back diff.

Thanks, I'll order 3 liters.

Just finished chatting with my buddy. He said, "adaptions need to be reset to factory settings for the new fluid/wear/driving profile."

Yes, it's part of the drain and refill of TC procedure.

The last transfer case procedure I saw at the dealer was for an e60 and it retailed for $450.00. No kidding. $450.00

$450 for some fluid and to CTRL+ALT+DEL a module. SMH
