The best way to go about it is doing it through BimmerRetrofits.com. They code everything to your car and will almost be plug and play if not Plug & Play completely.

I went through a guy on e90forum. He provided me with an activation code and files for 2016-1. It took about 1 hour to do. Very simple.

First...lets define some terms.
OP do you simply want to update to the current map data for the nav? OR... do you want to upgrade your nav system. Two ENTIRELY different things. One is $50, another can be thou$ands |
