I use CARLY for BMW on my 2012 X5 35d with no problems evident.

In the garage, while studying the app's capabilities, I use a battery booster that shows more than 20 Amps with all electrical systems enabled.

On the road it is unobtrusive and troublefree except for not yet being able to initiate preemptive DPF regeneration.
