job is jinxed
I am still recovering from a brutal flu virus but I decided that with schools restarting this week I needed to get the e70 running. The 12-point socket still has not arrived so ditch the bearing change.
Tried to put the new brakes on and guess what? The damn disks are 1/2 inch too small!! Finally managed to do the oil change at least. Man this has been miserable for a week now!!

Ordered an exchange for the disks, triple square arrived. Hopefully Sunday will see this done.
Bookmarked the Northerntool site and ordered their catalog.

Ok, so the disks are 13.7" and I got the new set as well as the 12-point tool in 12mm.
It is a tight fit to get the bit in from the back even when turning the wheels to create some space in the back of the hub carrier. I had to heat 3 of the 4 bolts somewhat and used a 10mm shaft to break the threads. Now I have the bearing out and I released the knuckle joint of the tension strut. I plan to take the strut off and install new bushings tomorrow. Pics to follow.

Aaaah, what a difference a set of bushings makes!!! Totally different car, the old ones were not very fresh when I pushed them out but I had not expected such a big improvement.
Also the new bearing makes a big difference, no more buzzing! :-)
