The Schwaben tool is very easy to configure. It costs an additional $60 at this point in time to add a different manufacturer. You can add up to 4 additional manufacturers as I recall for a total of 5 software modules. ECS tuning has the Schwaben Professional VAG or BMW tool available. You will be able to get either tool and then add the same features that you want for other car lines.
https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...nal/ES2975699/ https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...VAG/ES2996394/ Set up an account on the Foxwell site - Foxwell Technology Co., Ltd. Once you have set up an account, register to your tool on the site. Select "Registered Products" On the right side of the screen, select the blue "Software Detail" hyperlink A list of all the software options that are installed or available are listed. You will see an "Add To Cart" option for any software not installed on the tool. If you Add a software option, you can check out using Paypal or use a credit card as I recall. Look for the line that says "Click here to download the update client and start the upgrade." You click on the blue "here" to download and install the FoxScanner update tool which you should have installed on your computer at this time anyway. I believe like most of these update tools this may be a Windows only updater software?? Once you have installed the FoxScanner updater, you then need to remove the Micro SD card from the tool, install it in the supplied Micro SD to USB adapter (yes it was in the case pocket in a small plastic bag, it is easy to miss if you do not dig in the case pocket) and launch the FoxScanner application. Once the FoxScanner application has been launched, you need to make sure you can find the Micro SD card and choose the Micro SD card so FoxScanner can read the card. Then go to My Updates and you should see any updates the tool needs along with any purchased vehicle modules. As with anything that is updateable and subscription based, I HIGHLY recommend making a file folder on your computer and saving/copying the latest working copy of the SD card. Nothing against or specific to Foxwell or Schwaben, but I have MANY different updateable scan tools, some even Professional level and there have been instances where the SD cards become corrupt and do not boot or work. Many of the vendors make you have a current update subscription in order to get the SD card reloaded and some of these updates subscriptions from other tool vendors are more than $1k annually. Hope this is helpful, sorry to take part of this thread on an tangent, however, I do think this is probably one of the more cost effective manufacturer specific tools that supports more advanced features on the market at the moment. As with any of these types of tools, there may be issues and some features may not be fully supported or implemented. I have 2 SnapOn high level tools that do not even include some of the features that these tools offer. So far Foxwell has been very responsive to any of my questions. They have resolved or answered any of my questions or issues to date. So at least there is a pretty good support group behind the tool.
