Wheel arch rivet placement

Hi all, haven't logged in for a while...because my X5 has been running quite trouble-free (besides the P20EE code every 8k miles, but I just get free parts from dealer when that happens). But I have a question about rear fender rivets. I've removed most of the front rivets for running board install, and most of the rear rivets for bumper cover R&R and don't know which rivets go where. There are two types and RealOEM isn't useful for which go where.
It lists:
part 07142151750 for the rear, no quantity specified
part 51777171004 no location specified, quantity 8.
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_6371

There are a total of 7 rivet locations along the wheel arch liner. Any help?

I dont know the answer to your specific question but when did running board swap, i used Harbor Freight rivets, the bigger size and worked perfect. I dont think it matters that much, just dont use the tiny ones.

X2 on the HF Plastic Rivet Kit (Gun & various size rivets). I used this when I installed the Factory Trailer Hitch.

I used the longer on the outside of the wheel well and the short ones on top of it.
Frankly I don't know that it matters that much.

Good Luck.
