Diesel fill-up tip when the nozzle won't seem to fit...
Hi gang,
I'm a new member here and wanted to introduce myself and share what I found to be kinda handy... I recently purchased a 2010 X5d and had the hardest time trying to fill it around here as only some of the pumps seemed to work, even though they appeared to be the same size. Looking closer at the nozzles, I saw that some of them had flat spots on the nozzle and they weren't perfectly round... I'll assume from banging on trucker's tanks and such. Those nozzles wouldn't release the 2 safety latches on the fuel filler nozzle. However, if I turned the nozzle 90* (aimed it to the front or rear), it worked perfectly fine!!! Something you all might know, but I wasted about 3 weeks driving around like an idiot visiting every gas station I could find...

Common problem with X5d... Looks like you already found the solution - turning the nozzle =)
