Referral for BMW shop/mechanic in Atlanta

Hi all. This is my second X5 and it's a 2009 4.8is. I got rid of my 2006 4.6is when it started getting really expensive to maintain. Well it appears that now my 2009 is starting the same trend. I purchased this one from Global BMW and warranty is out. I notice a slow oil leak a few weeks ago and then my check engine light came on. I also noticed a kind of knocking noise and asked them to check that also.

Well I just got the email from my local indy shop saying that I need $4,649.92 worth of repairs! Here is what they are saying I need:
*Replace Alternator Stand Gasket - Leaking
*Replace valve cover gaskets - left & right with upper left and right timing cover gaskets
*Replace Water Pump - Bearing inside water pump bad
*Replace DMTL Pump due to fault code's 2A17, 2A15
*Oil & Filter Service

At this point I have to decide to either dump it or find a more reasonable shop/mechanic. Can anyone suggest a good shop (I live in west Atlanta)? If not, any advise on the above list would be appreciated. Thanks!
