Trailer Hitch Question

I am looking at putting a hitch on our 2011 X5 35i. If I go with the BMW hitch, I know I need:

• Trailer Hitch Kit (71602156525; https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/71602156525/)
• Trim Kit (71602185557; https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...727/ES2080727/).

Do I also need the Trailer Towing Module (61359167198; https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...34/ES169389/)?

At this point, I do not plan on pulling large trailers with brakes, but it looks like the Trailer Towing Module might be needed so the lights (and, perhaps, other functions, like turning off the PDC when in reverse) work.
