Sounds overpriced. When road debris left a huge crack on my windshield, I went to the dealer's body shop and they quoted $2,300. I laughed, literally went across one street, and asked the service department of the dealership themselves. They did it for $300 + the windshield from the Parts department which was $798. They even included the stuff needed around the windshield like rubber trim for free. Mind you, this is the windshield for a vehicle with the HUD option. It was the OEM Saint-Cobain or w/e it's called.

I said I thought. I have never priced or desired to have estimated the cost of an OE windshield.
