Has anyone repaired this issue?

Hello all. Every time I wash my X, when I open the hatch water comes out of the rear latch! Has anyone figured out a fix for this? I know it cannot be good for the inside of the door! Thanks in advance.

Probably tail light seals are leaking.

It's all over youtube.

99% chance it's the tail light seals, mine are doing the same thing.

I thought about replacing with a bead of silicone vs the OEM $40 total foam seals that will probably leak again, but figured it would be awful to get the tail lights off if they needed replaced.

Anyone tried something besides the oem foam seals?

Does anyone know if leaking tail light seals will cause water in the trunk?

My taillight seals are leaking on the inner part of the rear but I have seen no water in my trunk. Going to get them repaired next week.
