No turn signals after batttery replacement

I just a call from the BMW shop not a dealer that I always use, that after they replaced the battery this morning that turn signals were not working. It seems that everything else is working fine but the signals. They are still working to find the problem but does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

Update nothing is working, windows, dash, signal. They are telling me that is not the AMG battery so it doesn't need to be registered and I told them about the OBD fuse. They are now looking into that. They are trying to tell me its some foot module that didn't fire back up.

Yes that's a common problem. Some people have succeeded in re flashing the module with proper tools. Its just a corrupted software that is not letting the module to boot properly.

They may have fried (or scrambled) the FRM, or foot rest module.

When swapping a battery into a BMW you need to be creful with applying voltages cleanly. They may have been a bit careless with 'on-off-on-off' as they contacted the battery terminals. You'll never know...

How much are they going to charge you for scrambling/unscrambling the FRM?

It sounds like after a little persuasion they are going to cover it.

They are a good shop and I will continue to use them. Been really happy with all the past work they have done for me.
