I dont know for sure, but I think you remove the existing comfort access wire, install the trailer harness- there are conductors in the new trailer harness that replace the CA piece that comes out of one passthrough- I think.

Sounds like you pull back the CA (comfort access) wire, into the fuse panel area, with the grommet attached- bundle it up nice and neat, then plug the connector that USED to be at the bumper into the connector that is now on the new harness (which goes through the passthrough vacated by pulling the old wire back.) There is now a new CA connector out at the bumper to connect to where the old wire connected.

Id need to print out the instructions AND have the parts in front of me to determine.
