Nice garage queen you have there

I got the part yesterday, and swapped it out. I'm still waiting for my flex extension to do the last bolt under the thing, didn't want to remove the manifold again, but all good, no more codes.

New to a warranty like that.

So, let's use the example I just ran into. Car has been sagging in the rear overnight, so conclusion was rear airbags were leaking.

I could've just taken it in (to an approved shop I'm assuming), they charge the warranty company, minus my $100 deductible? That's it?

I'm a normal DIYer, but that sounds pretty nice.

Yeah usually the shop will deal directly with the company IF the issue is covered, then on your bill you will see $100 deductible added.

I'm at 120k miles now. you guys think if I purchased the Compass Protection Plan or the Warranty Group extended warranty now, will they cover my valve stem/guides on my 4.8i? I also have a weak air compressor. If the extended warranty is about $3000 then it will definitely pay for itself.

Your thoughts? I love my e70 and want to keep it as long as possible. I had an extended warranty up til 100k and it one of the best decisions I could have made.

So you need to find out if your vehicle will qualify for coverage. Mine had to go through an inspection and it got a clean bill of health from my dealership. Which is similar to the multipoint inspection they give you at the dealership where some a-hole walks around the car and says yup looks good. I put maybe 25K miles on the X5 before I even had to make a claim. I did buy the platinum coverage or the one that was equivalent to that at my time of purchase.

Do you know if this has to be purchased from a dealer or directly from them? Not much info on the page. Also, i was trying to find the document that shows exactly what is covered, as in what seals and what specific parts.

Do the warranty company determine where you go for the inspection?

Who pays for the inspection? If customer pays, what is average cost of inspection?

Thank you very much. I'm seriously considering buying another extended warranty to last me til 200k.
