CIC Retrofit Display Power Question

So if I already have the 8.8" CCC display, do I need to do anything to the power plug when I do the CIC retrofit? My research is telling me no - that you have to change it only if you are going from the smaller display to the larger. Is this true? I've got all my parts ordered and this is like the last piece of the puzzle.

Your CCC has a different power connector housing which needs to be switched out. 4 pins need to be pulled out of the old connector and put into the new one (61136954526 Universal socket housing) unless your screen came with some of the wiring cut off. In that case you can re-use the housing. There are some good pictures of the pin swap in this thread. What it really takes for a CIC retrofit.. (DIY, Complete! Coding files included!) - Page 2 - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums

With luck, I will start my ccc to cic install tonight. Here is my part list.
