Kmvguy83's E70 LOG
Small Intro: We bought this car to replace my wife's totaled 2012 Camry. We were rear-ended and got sandwiched in between 2 SUVs. My wife wanted a bigger vehicle after the accident and I was also looking for a truck to tow my cars. After doing some research X5 seems like a really good fit for the job. -6000lbs towing capacity -Mid-size SUV (easier for my wife to drive since this is her primary) -TURBO (lol... I hope I don't start messing with this car...) I'm a HUGE car guy, and I LOVE DIYs... I pretty much work on everything (rebuilding engine, engine swaps, paint, etc...) This is my first European/BMW so help is greatly appreciated. Feel free to leave a reply/respond. Update:
-List of things to check. List of things to check: -Whirling noise when AC is on. -Possible blower motor -Huff of refrigerant smell on cold starts -Possible evaporator leak, will check as soon as extended warranty transfers over. -Passenger A/C zoning has different temperature than the driver. It seems to always run a bit hotter than the driver side. -Probably related to problem above. -Power steering cap leak. -Need to order a new seal for the cap. |

" Passenger A/C zoning has different temperature than the driver. It seems to always run a bit hotter than the driver side.
-Probably related to problem above." My car (e70 3.0si) exhibits the same behaviour; the air coming out from the passenger side seems to be always a bit warmer vs. driver side.... |

It can't be normal for sure. Do you also happen to smell refrigerant from the vents on start ups? Last edited by Kmvguy83; 10-01-2016 at 08:12 AM. |
