Seat position / distance question

Hi,

I've been an e70 owner for a couple of years but always struggled with seat position. It just feels like my seat is not straight but who knows!!! Which leans to minor pain / discomfort.

Anyway, my question is how far do people sit from the front dash? For example how many fists can you fit between your left knee (uk drivers) and the actual dashboard? I'm 5ft 10 and medium build but with poor posture! I've tried sitting so my knee is almost touching the dash (no joy) this week I'm trying 3 to 4 fists but I feel a long way back from front.

I'm just really interested in people's preferences as I've tried for so long to get comfortable and failed (typically get soreness / pain down my right hand side).

Thanks for any comments

Thanks. I've seen something like that before. It was rather generic so I was just trying to determine what other people's settings were as here are so many options I'm interested in trying out a few different permutations.

Not everyone is going to have the same settings or be comfortable with generic settings.
Adjust it till you are comfortable, if you arent comfy in any position then it may not be the seat. Its not like the seats work in a way where 5 clicks up, 3 clicks back, 6 clicks lean etc..

I drove over 8hr almost non stop this summer and was fairly comfortable. Just wish it had cooled seats for those hot summer months.

I sit nearly all the way back, fairly upright, steering wheel all the way extended and nearly all the way down. Alternate between one hand on top, or both on, with thumbs on the spokes.

Just keep playing with the settings. Longest I've driven the car in one shot is nearly 2 hours and was not getting uncomfortable at all. To be honest it's one of the most comfortable seats I've been in.
