What didn't work? Outside of customer service, what problems did you have?

I purchased the upgraded Idrive controller and was given a quote that included the mounting bezel on the console. I never received it and when I called to complain, I was given the run around on how they couldn't locate that part. In the end I was refunded something riciculous like $20 for that part. I also needed an upgraded CIC front radio interface and never received it. I also wasn't told that I would lose my air conditioning control menu from the screen. I lost control of how to configure the air vents to blow and even to turn My Bluetooth wouldn't work and had to be completely rewired to work. I wasn't Initially told any of this and had to purchase a mic and have it wired just to get Bluetooth functionality back.

Just surprised you don't see much of this type of upgrade.
This Bluetooth adapter works wonders! Sound quality is great and it boots up instantly when you start the car and connects immediately. You can plug it into the cigarette power port in the centre console then mount the controls right behind the iDrive knob.

I went with someone who had the least complaints.

I do have a little bluetooth adapter on my CCC currently, but was looking for a fresher OS and quicker responding system. My rear camera and volume lag considerably.

Thanks for the input regarding bimmerretrofit. I did not pull the plug last week, because of other expenses that came up on my Audi :P

I still want to do the upgrade, but not sure if I could source the correct NBT for US with Satellite and HD receiver. If anyone has any pointers or wants to do this on their vehicle as well. Let me know. Thanks~

Collect slowly on ebay. Get adapter from Adrian.
Or simply just go CIC which needs just coding

You had to replace the microphone? The mic from the CCC won't work with the NBT EVO? If so, what part number mic did you have to purchase?

I wish I saw your issues before purchasing from bimmerretrofit. So far I can't overly complain as it appears I have received everything, but their customer service and especially documentation leaves a lot to be desired!

You use the same mic but need new wiring from mic to NBT. The old wiring goes from mic to trunk. ..... Unless you reroute wiring from trunk to NBT

Okay, that makes sense and why my kit has that wiring in it.
