X5 e70 idrive control knob broken

So, my idrive knob was pulled up really hard (not explaining why) and I pushed it back down, it clicked into place, but now it doesn't work correctly.

It will spin to scroll through different options, but it will not click to select any options. Also, now it pulls out of position pretty easily.

Do I need to replace the entire module, with buttons, or is there a way to fix this?
If I need to replace, any of it, how do I find the part number?
My BMW is: 2012 x5 35i e70
