2009 4.8 with 4x4 and DSC warnings

So I got a AWD system failure warning and a traction control failure warning (DSC). Looked into it, found that it's a battery issue most times. Bought a new battery and it solves the issue for 2-3 weeks. Drove 60+ miles yesterday and it all happened again. Checked the battery and it was at 10.2v. Took the battery to Autozone where I bought it and the guy hooked me up and warrantied me a new one. Changed the battery and drove roughly 150 miles between yesterday and today. Then boom, it all happened again. I get the car jumped and drive about 10 miles and park it, where it sits now. Anyone have any ideas or info?

If your battery keeps dying, may I propose that there's something wrong with the alternator?

That's what I would normally think. However, it confuses me that I can jump start the car and it run fine. Even while the car is running I can disconnect the battery and the car will continue to run. Correct me if I am wrong, but if I did that and it was the alternator then the car would fail to continue running, right?

Can you check somehow into battery drain? Lights left on etc?

*Shudder* electrical issues... frequently the hardest things to sort out. Especially with how many electronics are packed into these cars. Bad wire or connector somewhere can cause all kinds of issues and be a nightmare to track down. You have to be methodical in finding the issue. Start with the obvious, lights left on, etc.

As far as the alternator, maybe it has enough juice to keep the car running but not enough to run the car and charge the battery properly? Just like Nanniepoo said, if your new batteries keep dying then it is likely something else.

Can you test the alternator to see if it is charging at the correct rate?
