I have the boards and in Winter they become a liability; you mess up with mud & snow when exiting the car unless you 'jump'.

Do you have pictures of the X5 without the boards? how easy was to take them out? I can trade but not sure how much expensive will be the shipping....

It took about 15 minutes a side to remove. The skirts you guys want to trade still have a shelf right? I don't want a shelf ,looking for skirts that plane straight down from doors.Im keeping my OEM boards. After market ones like OEM on eBay are only $300. But I can't find any without a ledge.Like on the 17's,I think, smooth transition.

I love the running boards, I had them on my last X5 and miss them terribly. I vcan see from the lack of them the drivers outside seat bolster is wearing excessively because you just step right out of the vehicle and slide. I learned how to get in and out of my X5 with the boards and never had an issue after I mastered the entry/exit method.
