For what it's worth, I think the JBD helped snuff out some issues with ours while under warranty still. I obviously removed it (once in a hotel parking lot across the street from the dealership) before taking it in for a check engine light. I've had both DEF tanks replaced, the HPFP replaced and the EGR replaced all under CPO warranty. All with new superseded parts which I haven't had an issue with since and it's been 15k+ miles. I'm not sure if the JBD helped uncover the issues or not, but asking more from the motor and finding the weak points seems to make sense in my mind.
