First BMW....

After about 15 years of owning VW/Audi vehicles, I've switched over to the dark side...

Just picked up this 2013 X5 50i, with 31.5k miles on it. CPO'd thru 5/2019.

lol,

Congrats on the new car! I did something similar about 2 years ago. I had been a long time VAG owner as well and a big APR fan would go to their BBQ's now employee apperciation days. Anyway I purchased a 2011 335D with 28K miles on it in 2015 and a 2008 X5 4.8i, and my wife drives a 2013 mini cooper S, so yeah we switched.

Oh, I doubt I'm quitting VW/Audi vehicles cold turkey. To be honest, the first and second gen X5's are the only ones that appealed to me. Well that and maybe an E60 M5.

Yeah I'm not... My next car to replace the 335d will most likely be any audi a7 or s7. I like BMWs but I to don't care for the newer models. I don't like the current F30 3 series. they drive like expensive camay's to me and charge a lot of options that are standard on any other car. I got the E90 because of the car and driver and road and track articles and personal experience on how much better they were than the F30s. Biggest downside is its been broken a lot. I don't think I've ever had a car in the shop more than my 335d but it sure was a cheap way to lease a new car with all the loaners I got ;-). My D was under warranty until last summer.

Off topic but I'm looking to Audis. I've had expensive repair bills for my X5 and was wondering if Audis suffer from this as well (ie Oil filter housing gasket, oil pan gasket, water pump/thermostat failure all around 50k miles).
