How to remove wheel well liner?

So how does one do this? It's an 11 35d, Looking at it it appears the plastic fender arches need removal and the plastic rivets are needing to be removed to do that. I've read they are not reusable and I do not have a tool to install new ones. However I probably can get one from harbor freight. So does anyone have a DIY?

Are you familiar with the online part databases? If not, pulling up the diagrams for your vehicle can be helpful in locating all the hardware that fastens things together. FYI for those that didn't know...the encircled numbers in the diagram represent hardware:

Thanks Qsilver,

I was on realoem trying to look. I just wasn't sure about the exact first off parts to remove it. I didn't know about the circles bits being hardware. That's nice to know!

The rivets are one time use. Once you pull/cut them out, you will have to buy a new set (10 or so) and install them with a rivet tool. Also, the standard rivet gun from HF is too small (tried that). I have yet to buy a rivet tool to finish the job. The liner and fender flare stay on fine without the rivets... I'll eventually get around to it.

Why are you trying to remove the fender liner? Some jobs that call for removing it can actually be done in other ways...

Ok thanks for the info. I saw a different method to install the rivets so I'm not to worried.

I want to remove it to just inspect inside the fender well for debris.

I found a YouTube video where the guy used a 8mm wrench to hold the flat part of the rivet to the liner. He then used a pair of vise grips and grabbed the pin end and rotated down till it clicked in place. Then snip the end off.
