Finally scored an X5!
IMG_1924 by swooshdave, on FlickrIt's a 2012 and I still don't know which version, Sport Activity or Premium. Prod date is 2011-09-01. IMG_1953 by swooshdave, on FlickrOk, let's be clear, the wife has clearly claimed ownership although she hasn't driven it much yet. ![]() A lot more reading the manual is required for these vehicles. Ok, why this one? IMG_1951 by swooshdave, on FlickrLiterally traded in by a little old lady on a new Cadillac. I suspect that nothing has ever been in the back seat, not even sure about the cargo area. IMG_1952 by swooshdave, on Flickr IMG_1925 by swooshdave, on FlickrThe only things I can't figure out is an occasional backup camera error. The camera works but it shows an error. Maybe it can't calculate the turning lines? And the seat cooler doesn't get the seat very cold. Maybe they aren't suppose to. Not sure if I will ever get use to the butt kneading from the Active Seat, are you suppose to? ![]() Next up after figuring out how to use the features it has is to get Carly and tweak some more things. It's easier to list what it doesn't have, Sport Steering Wheel, 3rd row, Rear DVD... that might be it. I do love the power as we had replaced a dead 540i Wagon with a Mazda CX-5 and missed the BMW horsepower. This one has enough. Plus it's the venerable straight 6. |

Looking at your pics it seems like you have the Premium with the 20 way seats. There are sites out there where you plug in your VIN and it'll give you the build info.
Search for 2013 order guide and you can match the options to packages and see what equipment your model came with. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

It came with the original window sticker. I guess I could just go look at that...
But yes, I just about wore out BMWVIN.com while looking |

Nice looking ride. The vented seats don't really get too cold. It's a small effect.
Never really used the active seat. |

Wow. A 'not black, not silver' used BMW....
Sweet find! |

In my search I did find a couple reds ones, but white seemed to be the majority. Then black and silver.

The booty massaging (active) seats...find their niche on long trips/journeys/commutes...when after about an hour of cruising the highway...you may begin to squirm to give your back & bottom some relief. This is when the booty massage (it gently lifts and lowers one side at a time...or as you wrote...kneading your bottom) is a welcomed feature. In fact, by the time you reach your destination...you probably won't need to "stretch" when you get out of the vehicle...because the active comfort seats have been providing relief for your bottom and lower back.

I'm not saying I won't enjoy the Active Seat but it does take some getting used to. It's fun to put someone in the seat and turn it on without telling them...
