There are Snap-on distributors in Australia, but I hear their prices are pretty high. You might try Snap-on's USA web site; I'm not sure they will ship to Australia, but I don't care for my local Snap-on dealer, so I buy everything I buy new online at the Snap-on web site. In the US, they ship for free.

You can also try eBay for used Snap-on tools, which will generally save you 50% or more. The problem is a torque wrench is not the same as buying a regular ratchet; potential for knocking it out of calibration is great. You can get any used torque wrench re-calibrated, but that's an added cost that would need to be factored in. But I bought all four of my Snap-on torque wrenches on eBay; I looked exclusively for ones that were advertised as second hand, but never used. This still saved a lot of money.

On eBay USA, there are also shipping aggregation services, that can save significant money on the somewhat costly shipping from the USA to Japan or Australia. The way it works is that the seller is instructed to ship to a third party shipping agent in the US. They fill a container with packages and ship the whole thing overseas. Then the service ships the item to the buyer using local post. I sell a lot of tools on eBay, and I often see overseas buyers using this type of shipping agent. How one accesses these services I have no idea, nor do I have any idea how much this delays shipment, (I don't think too much, they must have containers shipping out very frequently).

Thanks skyline! I think I'll end up getting one of these.

Probably second hand, seem to be ok prices around. I like that it has ccw torquing as well. It should cover most of what I'll need. And yes, less accurate in. The lower range, but hey, still pretty good.
